Your Photocoach has a name, Graham, and is based in Oakland, CA.
After a career in hi-tech marketing (want more info?), I decided to quit corporate life and have more fun. I do that nowadays as a consultant and as a professional photographer & teacher.
I’m a transplanted Brit, been here since 1996 and love the Bay Area. I discovered that I love the teaching aspect of photography and found more and more people asking for coaching. Not only on the foundations of photography, but also on workflow, editing and printing of digital images. So Photocoach was put together to collate hints, tips, ideas and easily digested ways of learning – and so you can find what workshops I’m running.
That’s what I hope this site does for you.
I love to photograph people, places and things – especially aeroplane things! I’ve been a lifelong aviation nut, and love being around planes and pilots.
I’m an experienced teacher as well as a professional photographer and I believe that most of us learn best by applying the foundational principles of the subject of study in real life, practical situations. I have a light and easy style and try to make sure that learning is fun. You can find student’s reviews on my Meetup workshop page.
